It can be used as a walking meditation, a celebratory act, a means of relaxation and guidance, and a way to reconnect to self and spirit. Labyrinth walks can serve as part of ceremonies marking events such as solstices, equinoxes, full moons, new moons, and eclipses. They can also be used for religious observances. 

The labyrinth is a single path that winds its way from the outer edge in a circuitous way into the center. Unlike a maze, there are no tricks to it and no dead ends.

The Medicine Wheel is a sacred symbol used by many indigenous peoples.  The ancient ancestors of the North American continent constructed large wheels of stone laid out on vast expanses of land. That pattern is reflected in today’s familiar Medicine Wheel. The Medicine Wheel reminds us that health and well-being can be achieved by balancing the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. It points the way toward attaining unity, balance, and harmony.

The theme of my work is to bring forth that which is mysterious, evocative, and lasting. As I paint, I push myself to venture into unknown areas that open my mind to new ways of seeing. Natural surroundings are close to my heart, and I love sketching and photographing flora, fauna, and landscape; these images often come into my mind as I paint in my studio. And sometimes I will combine my nature photography with images from my paintings, and a new art form emerges— Art Fusions!

As an ordained minister of the Universal Life Church, she has conducted numerous weddings, baby blessings, birthdays, renewals, passages and milestones in people's lives.
